Key Stage 3

At Broadfield Specialist school we work hard to provide the very best in education in a nurtured and specialist environment.

  • Key Stage 3

At Key Stage 3 students are aged between 11 and 14 years old, year groups include Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9.

Our students are happy, they feel cared for and are able to learn in a child centred, personalised and friendly setting.

  • Key skills

We offer a total communication environment which enables students to build independence skills, promote self-esteem and make good choices in their behaviour and attitudes to learning.

Our Curriculum

We aim to deliver a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum which removes barriers to learning, embraces diversity and sets high expectations for all.

Our curriculum is carefully adapted to meet a wide range of SEND and ensures every learner can thrive and achieve their full potential.

Students follow one of five pathways. Each pathway has a particular learning approach that enables all students to flourish.

  • Formal Curriculum Pathway
  • Functional Curriculum Pathway
  • Sensory Curriculum Pathway
  • Thrive Curriculum Pathway
  • Autism Curriculum Pathway
