Preparing for Adulthood

Every Friday afternoon students are able to choose enriching activities that also equip them with life skills to use in preparation for adulthood.

This gives the students the chance to learn a new social or independence skill either through enriching activities led by specialist staff or activities in the community.

There are 4 national Preparing for Adulthood outcomes:

  1. Employment and Higher Education
  2. Independent living
  3. Participation in Society
  4. Being as healthy as possible in adult life

Activities will change each term to ensure there is a wide variety of options available.

Preparation for Adulthood

Activities include

  • School Choir/Let's Go Sing

  • Baking club

  • Bikeability - learn to ride

  • Eco schools club

  • Sports Club

  • Computer Coding

  • Drama club

  • Dance Club

  • Sewing club

  • Crafts

  • Rock Band

  • Girls Football

  • Small Animals Therapy

  • Dog Therapy

  • RDA Horse Riding

  • LGBT+ Club

  • Community Activities
