ASDAN Personal and Social Development

At Broadfield College, ASDAN Personal and Social Development (PSD) is a key part of our commitment to preparing learners for life beyond the classroom. Delivered through the nationally recognised ASDAN framework, the programme is designed to support each student’s personal growth, independence, and readiness for the future. Our learners access Entry 1 to Level 1 qualifications.

Our PSD curriculum is tailored to meet the individual needs, interests, and aspirations of our learners. Through a wide range of practical, hands-on activities, students develop essential life skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and self-confidence. We place a strong emphasis on real-world learning, with topics including healthy living, managing money, building relationships, and preparing for employment.

At Broadfield College, we believe every learner should feel valued and capable. Our supportive environment allows students to progress at their own pace, celebrating achievements through a portfolio of evidence that reflects their personal journey. This approach not only builds confidence but also encourages independence and resilience.

By embedding ASDAN Personal and Social Development into our curriculum, Broadfield College provides a meaningful and inclusive pathway that equips learners with the skills they need to thrive in everyday life, further education, and the workplace.
