Curriculum Statement

Broadfield School is committed to meeting the individual needs of all our students and delivering a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum.

Our curriculum is underpinned by four principles, outlined within our school motto:

Belong – We provide a safe nurturing environment which fosters care and respect. Our vibrant learning community includes and values everyone. Our curriculum embraces diversity, promotes understanding and acceptance.

Believe – We have high expectations for all our learners and trust they can all succeed. These aspirations are reflected in the content and challenge of our outstanding curriculum provision.

Enjoy  –  We place the wellbeing of our students at the heart of everything we do. Our curriculum is built to make learning fun and meaningful. We aim to inspire every student by fostering creativity, confidence, and a love for lifelong learning.

Achieve – We consider the individual needs of all students, and our curriculum is designed to engage, inspire, motivate, and empower every learner to achieve their full potential.

We aim to:

  • Create a safe, supportive environment where all students feel valued and diversity is celebrated

  • Deliver a broad, balanced, and ambitious curriculum, which builds knowledge and skills over time

  • Provide personalised learning pathways, that are flexible, creative and responsive to the diverse needs and interests of all students

  • Promote high aspirations for all students and ensure high-quality teaching and learning experiences that enable them to reach their potential

  • Equip students with a range of real-life experiences, meaningful skills, and recognised qualifications which prepare them for life beyond school

  • Develop skilled communicators with the confidence to play active and fulfilling roles in society.
