We, the Governing Body of Broadfield Specialist School write to you as part of a consultation process to make changes to the times of the school day. The changes, alongside the rationale for change, are set out in the letter attached.
1. Lunch will be 30 minutes long as opposed to 45 minutes, thus reducing the lunch break by 15 minutes.
2. Both morning and afternoon registration sessions will be 15 minutes long as opposed to 30 minutes.
3. School will end at 2.30pm, reducing the end of the school day by 1 hour. There will be no reduction in teaching and learning time under the proposed changes.
