This week, our Year 7 pupils set off for their highly anticipated residential trip to High Adventure Outdoor Education Centre, and they certainly rose to the challenge, quite literally in some cases! From canoe paddles to high zip-wire saddles, the students embraced every moment with enthusiasm, teamwork, and plenty of smiles.
High Adventure
Students set off on Monday and returned on Wednesday for what was a very memorable residential trip. Our students showed oar‑some team work skills as they learned steering and paddling canoes, and showed skill in raft building activities. The zip wire was a firm favourite, giving pupils the chance to take a deep breath, step off the platform, and soar through the air. If anyone had butterflies, they were quickly replaced with excitement.
Staff were incredibly proud of the students, who behaved beautifully throughout the visit. They represented the school with maturity, kindness, and respect both for each other and the centre’s instructors. By the time they headed home, pupils were exhausted, but the tiredness was a badge of honour from a week full of fun, challenge, and adventure.
