World Book Day 2026

On Thursday this week, students and staff celebrated World Book Day by attending school dressed as their favourite characters from books. There was also a decorate your door competition. Read on to find out who won!

Once upon a time at Broadfield…

Fun was had by all on Thursday 5th March as students and staff celebrated World Book Day. The atmosphere around school was fantastic and was like stepping into the pages of a Roald Dahl or Julia Donaldson book. Students and staff dressed up as their favourite book characters.

The door to form classroom was also decorated and prizes were given to the winning door! Here are the winners:

1st Place – 11 Haselwood
2nd Place – 10 Ainsworth
3rd Place –  Sensory Wilcox
