Skiing Enrichment

Skiing enrichment has been able to continue this year thanks to the Winter Sports Foundation, so far over 50 students at Broadfield have took to the slopes of Ski Rossendale to learn how to slide down the slopes thanks to their funding.

Staff have observed the positive impact this sport has on our students. It is an individual and rewarding sport with clear progression for the students to see, teaching them resilience and growing their confidence and belief that they can achieve. We hope to be able to provide this opportunity to many more of our students and even get some of them to Italy next year to experience skiing on the mountains! Massive thank you also to Ski Rossendale who’s experienced instructors work to the needs of our students providing them with a fun inclusive environment to learn in.
