Our school skiing trip was one of the most exciting and memorable experiences of the year so far. We travelled to the mountains early in the morning, full of anticipation and energy. For many of us, it was our first time seeing snow-covered peaks up close, and the view alone was unforgettable.
On the first day, we were introduced to the basics of skiing although we had been going to Ski Rossendale on a weekly basis it was a completely different feeling on the slopes in Pila Italy. The instructors were friendly and patient, helping us learn how to balance, stop, and turn safely. Although it was challenging at first, especially getting used to the equipment, everyone quickly gained confidence. There were plenty of laughs as we slipped and fell, but that only made the experience more enjoyable.
As the days went on, we improved more than we expected. We moved from beginner slopes to slightly steeper runs, which made us feel proud of our progress. Skiing down the mountain with friends, surrounded by beautiful snowy scenery, was an incredible feeling.
Evenings were just as fun as the days. After a long day on the slopes, our evenings were planned with activities going bowling, and into town for a lovely meal. It was a great opportunity to bond with classmates and create lasting friendships.
Overall, the skiing trip was an amazing adventure. It helped us try something new, build confidence, and work together as a group. It is definitely an experience we will remember for a long time.
All staff are very proud of what each student has achieved throughout the week. Well done!!
