On Friday 22nd March, the school band took part in a reward trip for all their hard work this year.
We travelled to Salford and Bury to partake in some musical activities. First of all we went to ‘Play Music Today’ in Salford. It is basically a warehouse full of musical instruments. All of the students played on instruments of their choosing and had a nice time looking at some amazing equipment. The staff at the music shop were very accommodating and commented on how polite the students were. After that we took a short walk to ‘Salford Lads Club’ for a photo opportunity. This particular club was made famous by Manchester legends, ‘The Smiths’. After this we went to Bury town centre and visited some different music shops. We looked at vinyl records, CD’s, merchandise and memorabilia. Every student bought something for themselves and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Throughout this year, the school band have been amazing!! They are a pleasure to work with and are a credit to themselves and their respective families.
