Students will continue to develop practical skills and carry out investigations that will form an important part of coursework.
All students will have the opportunity to achieve a Double Award qualification in Science – equal to 2 subjects at Entry Level– or GCSE.

Entry Level Certificates (ELCs) are nationally recognised qualifications which give students the opportunity to achieve a certificated award. It equips students with skills and knowledge transferable to both educational and career settings, and provides a worthwhile course for students of various ages and from diverse backgrounds in terms of general education and lifelong learning.
It comprises of 6 components, in which students will complete a portfolio of work made up of both teacher-devised assignments and externally-set assignments. Students will achieve 2 grades between Entry Level 1 and Entry Level 3.
GCSE Trilogy presents Biology, Chemistry and Physics content logically and in an easy-to-understand format. It provides students with an interesting and relevant course with lots of opportunities to develop practical skills.
It is comprised of 24 units of work across the three Sciences, which are tested at the end of Year 11 via 6 exams each of 75 minutes duration. Each paper tests distinct areas of study, meaning students can prepare well for the individual exams. Students will achieve 2 GCSE grades between 1-9.
