WJEC Entry Level Pathways Media offers students to explore different film genres, advertising, creating a print media product and creating an audio-visual sequence.
Qualifications
These units aims to enable learners to gain knowledge of purposes, types and techniques of Advertising. To gain the knowledge and skills to develop and create a print media product and enable learners to gain knowledge of film genres and their key features. The learners to gain the knowledge and skills to develop and create an audio-visual media sequence.
Qualifications Available
Functional Skills Entry Level

Functional skills are available at Levels 2 and 1, and entry levels 3, 2 and 1. Each qualification is assessed and marked separately.

Each test is graded Pass or Fail

Each test is assessed by the class teacher and then externally verified by Pearson Edexcel.
Functional Skills Level 1/2

Level 2 is at the same level as Grade C or above, (old GCSE qualifications) or Level 4 or above (reformed GCSE qualifications).

Each test is graded Pass (P) or Unclassified (U)

Pearson Edexcel assess Level 1 & 2 using on-demand computer based tests. Students can re-sit if unsuccessful in the first instance
WJEC Entry Level Pathways : Personal Progress — Developing ICT Skills
This qualification allows the students to complete a choice of units covering a range of topics. The units are all coursework based, there is no need to sit written examinations. There are a range of units available all of which are at Entry 1. The Entry Pathways qualifications are inclusive, flexible and practical giving you the opportunity to develop, demonstrate and participate in a range of activities covering a range of topics.
