Entry Level Qualification in Personal Progress

The Personal Progress qualification has been designed to address the needs of learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), working at Entry 1 or below. The qualifications ensure that all learners are given the same opportunities to access appropriate and relevant education to develop new skills and improve their life outcomes.

Personal Progress

At Broadfield, we are committed to providing the best possible education for our students, tailored to their individual needs and interests. Entering KS4, we conduct a thorough assessment to evaluate their access to the curriculum and determine the most suitable courses to meet their individual needs. Our goal is to ensure they achieve an accreditation that reflects their abilities and progress.

On the Personal Progress route, students develop their communication, reading and writing skills as well as early mathematics skills. They also focus on life skills including travel within the community, developing self-awareness, getting along with other people, developing workplace skills, dealing with problems, independent living skills and healthy living.

WJEC Options

Additionally, at the teacher’s discretion, each pupil following the Personal Progress qualification will be considered for an additional WJEC qualification from the option block below. This particular option block offers subjects designed to be more accessible, with assessments primarily based on practical application.

  • WJEC Drama
