International Day of Mathematics

The International Day of Mathematics (I.D.M.) is celebrated every year on March 14, bringing together countries worldwide for various math activities. Interestingly, this date is also known as Pi Day since it can be written as 3/14, which corresponds to the mathematical constant Pi, approximately 3.14. This makes March 14 a perfect day to celebrate mathematics!

At Broadfield Specialist School, the International Day of Mathematics was marked with an array of engaging activities, providing fun for everyone involved. Participants had a chance to win Easter eggs as prizes, adding an exciting twist to the celebration!
Activities included : Cooking with mathematics, Mathematics escape room , Riddles and puzzles , role play shopping , Battles ships and Darts , stop watch challenge and much much more.
