Eco Conference at Ewood Park – A Fantastic Day!

Yesterday, our students had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Eco Conference at Ewood Park, and they were an absolute credit to the school. Their behaviour was exemplary throughout the day, and they fully immersed themselves in all the stalls and activities on offer.

Students engaged enthusiastically with a wide range of environmental topics, learning more about how we can make positive changes both as a school community and as individuals to help protect our planet. It was inspiring to see their curiosity, respect, and willingness to get involved.
We would also like to extend a huge thank you to our Duke of Edinburgh students, who prepared the packed lunches for the trip. They rose brilliantly to the challenge of creating a plastic-free lunch, making delicious sandwiches, flapjacks, and cheese twirls. Even better, they used eggs from our school hens and lettuce grown in our very own vegetable beds – a fantastic example of sustainability in action!
A brilliant day all round – well done to everyone involved! 🌍💚
