What's been happening in April?
April has been a busy month for students at our school, from a performance of Wicked from drama students, to Broadfield does Masked Singer! One highlight has been the Art Competition where you can see the work from some of our incredibly talented students. It was a tough task to pick winners from over 70 applicants, but we are pleased to announce that the winners were James A, Lucy B, Eloise A and Sensory Wilcox class. Well done! Here are some of their masterpieces:
Another highlight was the Sensory Art Experience which was organised by Mrs Moorhouse. Parents and carers were invited to see some of the fantastic art work created by students whom follow the Sensory Pathway during the Water themed unit of work. You can see some pictures from the fantastic event below:
Last week, Broadfield students took part in a Dragon’s Den–style enterprise competition held at school. Key Stage 3 and 4 students were tasked with designing a product to be sold at the Easter Fayre.
The event, which had been postponed until after Easter, welcomed local business leaders as the Dragons. They represented Domiciliary Home Care Services, RS Workwear, Pursuit Aerospace, and Jackie’s Nails and Beauty.
The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all involved, with winners crowned from both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, alongside entrepreneur awards for each key stage. Well done to all the students and staff who made the event such a success, and a special thank you to our Dragons for their time and support.
For our upcoming events and themed days, please keep checking our calendar of events!
