Shakespeare Festival 2015

Class 3.4 recently participated in the Shakespeare Schools Festival where they played Romeo and Juliet at the Preston Charter Theatre on 5th of November.  They performed in front of nearly 850 people! It was very exciting and some of them were nervous but all went well and they were so proud of what they achieved.

Our School Uniform For Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is: Plain, dark coloured trousers or skirt. Navy blue jumper, cardigan or sweatshirt with school logo. Pale blue or white polo shirt with school logo. Plain, dark coloured footwear. Navy blue, black, grey or white socks. Optional – blue white gingham dress (Summer). P.E.Kit: Trainers/pumps. Plain white T Shirt Black shorts/Track suit for colder weather. P.E. Bag with a drawstring for hanging up. National Lottery Heritage Fund WW1 Project

Students from Key Stage 3 worked with artists and historians to investigate what life was like for young people who were left ‘Home Alone’ during World War One, whilst their fathers and brothers went to war. The project was funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and culminated in an exhibition of our students work being featured in the Haworth Art Gallery Accrington as part of their own WW1 exhibition.
