Careers and Employability

Through our Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance, CEIAG, at Broadfield Specialist School, we constantly strive to support and strengthen our students’ ambitions for their future.  We are committed to improving the careers prospects of our learners and constantly strive towards improving the careers activities, in line with best practice. Broadfield regularly evaluates itself against the Gatsby Good Career Guidance Benchmarks and makes improvements where appropriate.

The CEIAG team includes school-based independent career advisors, a work experience co-ordinator and the subject leader for CEIAG, Mr Twist, who can be contacted on the school telephone number or by email at martyn-twist@broadfield.lancs.sch.uk.

The aim of our CEIAG team, through recognised accredited study programmes, work experience placements and work-related activities, in liaison with employers and external agencies, is to educate and prepare our students for the world of work.

Our CEIAG curriculum, placements and activities offer students the opportunity to gain qualifications, practise and develop key skills in a work setting, gain a better understanding of the world of work and improve their personal and social development.
